Mike has his followers, and they are haters. I have been getting a rash of people that are obviously put to the task of making negative comments about this blog. That only lights the fire to get the word out even more about Connor Ranch. Will be getting a full blown web page dedicated to not only Connor Ranch, but other sobriety programs that are using people with addiction problems as a means of cash flow and profit. It is your lives, and your time to be informed as to what is real and what is not. Currently I have investigated 8 other sobriety programs that are not in compliance with any AA programs, and will post them on the new web site. God bless and keep working your program.

Yesterday I got an email from Mike wishing all of his past clients a "safe & healthy 2009!" Wow. It's already almost halfway into the year. That should tell you how off kilter this man is. In addition, he sent the email out with EVERYBODY'S email address visible, as clearly he is an idiot on the computer. That's a HUGE violation of privacy. In fact, I will list each and every email right here so that Sober Guy, if you want to take the reins and REALLY criminalize Mike, here's your chance to directly contact each & every former client who provided him with their email address to gauge their results/opinions. He obviously sent this out to everyone in his address book, including the numerous other domains he owns, & his google adwords accounts:

Yes it is all true. I would check out other treament centers, and do your homework. This is your daughters life we are talking about. Read the testimonials on this blog.
Dude - not only are there people "put to the task of making negative comments" on your blog, but he had my roomate and another guy try and black it out altogether! Mike Nielsen is a sick, sick man, and it is really unfortunate that he has ANYTHING to do with a facility that helps one to rehabilitate from substance abuse. He pushes himself onto the clients (particularly the methamphetamine addicts) and makes sexual comments (of an insulting and freakishly disgusting nature). He hardly provides "nutritious" meals....more like soup out of veggies that are about to turn. This guy is a complete piece of sh*t and I hope that parents, friends, or anybody who knows somebody considering this facility as a way to begin sobriety REALLY considers all these comments because it's not just one person complaining that "Oh - I'm pissed because I wasn't allowed to go on a walk" or "I wasn't allowed to use the phone when I wanted to" - no....these are ALL people who have experienced a SERIOUS conflict, encounter, provocation, RELAPSE, rape, sexual harrasment, fraud, extortion, entrapment, or have been swindled out of THOUSANDS of dollars by some seriously tainted individual. I have experienced ALL OF THE ABOVE
and then some! however, I think its Proactive to gain "proof" such as photo's of expired licenses...
Parents being Proactive and researching the director, researching the "staff" researching all of the facilities... Making unannounced visits etc...
If you inundate the "system" that controls "Rehab Centers" you will get a response. The problem is this; Michael is used to kids, or dope heads, addicts etc... also he's from the "streets" so he's a survivor who knows how to get what he needs to survive, and that includes... psychologically speaking he's still in the "homeless" mentality ( every Man for himself). I am not making excuses, just trying to rationalise, so that when you do make a concerted effort instead of thinly veiled threats of suits etc... you will know what and who and how to deal with him.
There are a plethora of things....
#1. who's dispensing Meds?
#2.Are they an RN? are they Medically Liable?
#3. how are the patients treated? ( detox)
one cocktail does not fit all; if discomfort is expressed is it addressed?
Last but not least...PAY BY CREDIT CARD! that way you can dispute the charges... if you get kicked out...
also demand a copy of any and all documents you signed!

My child is there now. Don't want to say to much until he/she gets out in case Mike reads this. Is there another sober living that is affordable down their? When he/she gets out I will post how it was. Lets just say scary!!!
I've been very busy chairing AA events, sorry for the delays. As far as legitimate treatment centers in Orange County area is only a google search away. MAKE SURE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE to interview them before considering. Get names of all councelors and directors, and always, always ask questions. Red flags include, personal phone calls, cell phones, laptops & iphones, visits from other than approved family members, co-ed living (some meet treatment guidlines) etc. As I aways say DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! Sobriety shouldent be a joke, or ever taken for granted. And if all else fails , ask someone with REAL X amount of time in sobriety. they will usually know. ie persons that chair AA meetings.

He ha some hokey internet inthe Phillipines post his shananaganz, hoping it will deflect some of his criminal behavior and try to hide his identity and location.
