One day at a time One life at a time

First I want to apologize for my absence; I want to keep this blog going stronger than ever. But a terrible recent event has occurred and I want to tell the story. A very good friend of mine who I met through Connor Ranch has died last week. His name was Darren, and he was a struggling alcoholic. We have been good friends for two years, and I always would lend a hand to him in his suffering to addiction. But unfortunately he died in a car crash due to the influence of alcohol. He left Connor Ranch thinking he could make it, but Mike got the best of him and he left on his own. He hated Mike for everything he stood for and could no longer take the abuse he suffered. Darren never went back to any AA meetings, he never sought out alternative treatment centers, but I remained his friend regardless. To the best of my knowledge the total death count at Connor Ranch now stands at 4. Two of which died at his "west house" Mostly of neglect and Mike's uncaring attitude. But here is the worst part; I received a call today from his girlfriend who was pregnant with child. She had given birth to his son 5 days after his death. My friend was my original inspiration for this blog and he helped me draft it out. Although he was an alcoholic, was exceptionally intelligent and wanted to be heard vicariously through me. For those of you reading this please take notice. People are dying at the hands of this fucking asshole, and a son who will never know his father. Who will be Dr. Mike's next victim?
More than ever those of us who have the higher power & the morale strength must put the word out there for those who are weak and preyed upon by this evil man. It's too late for my friend, but you really will be saving someone's life. Maybe even your best friend.
Give yourself a moment of silence for the alcoholic that is still suffering and a prayer for those who are lost forever.

God Bless
Sober Guy

The destructive path of Dr. Mike

Connor Ranch is advertised as a good, respectable means for drug & alcohol treatment. DON'T BE FOOLED!!! It was created by a man named Michael James Nielsen as a means for easy cash flow by fleecing people with serious addiction problems. He runs his sober living homes as slave labor camps. He inflicts physical abuse on residents within his 3 so-called sober living homes. He rules by threats and intimidation for non-payments of program fees. Those who are court ordered are threatened by being reported to their parole or probation officers for not abiding to his every command. He initially portrays himself as a caring rehabilitated person that seems concerned about sobriety. This could not be further from the truth. He has very serious emotional & mental issues that he has never had counseling or mental treatment for. He is a sexual deviant and has a criminal history with sex with minors. Ironically his main treatment home has gone co-ed, only to size up women as potential victims as "sex for treatment" Parents should very seriously consider other legitimate sober living homes other than Connor Ranch. His treatment counselors are not staffed on premises, and are not available should you have a problem with relapse. They are only on call and available to privileged residents or the highest bidder. His mentality of cash in hand will get you fixed is what he works by. Promotion rather that attraction!! His 82% rate is bogus and has the highest turnover rate of failure in the Orange County area. He also lures in people with boating trips that ultimately turn into looting & theft of personal property in the Huntington Harbor & Long Beach harbor areas. Also injuries have occurred from these very dangerous and senseless trips from insane boating practices. How do I know all this, I lived at 2 of his facility's and suffered greatly from the experience only to relapse & wind-up living in my car as a result. I also have known Mike for many, many years and he has destroyed me and my personal well being many times. He has smoked meth &and took a 4 year chip only 3 months after the fact. He has done meth deals with known drug dealers in exchange for covering up for their probation officers. This is not speculation; I have personally witness these events including his drug use. His website is www.connorranch.org the testimonials are fabricated and false, I sat in his garage watching this as they were drafted. Do your research; make the right decision if you are really serious about your sobriety. Don't put your life in the hands of this clown. And if you are court ordered ask yourself if you want to go back to jail.
This is all about your life, and Dr Mike is waiting to take it away from you. And if you currently reside at one of his homes you will know this... what is more important your sobriety or his program fees, ask him. Then you will know everything I am telling you is true.
I want to see if this thing takes off. Post your comments please. And in return I will help you find the sober living home that really helps people in the Orange County area.

God Bless & keep coming back, it works if you work it.
